2020 Gippsland Red
Mostly Merlot from South Gippsland with a little whole bunch syrah from Baw Baw shire. Merlot was de-stemmed into tank for a month on skins, syrah was whole bunch for two weeks. Both were wild fermented then pressed into a single puncheon for ageing. The wine is light bodied, bright and red fruited with some light crunchy tannin. The cold year lead to a long growing season and resulted in elegant wines great natural acidity.
